About Me
Hi, I’m Renee
I’m one of those people who follows instructions to the letter, and without guidance I struggle. And as any older relative will tell you - babies don’t come with a guidebook.
Sleep was one of those subjects I knew nothing about going into parenting, which is wild considering sleep deprivation is one of the leading causes of postnatal depression. But when I had a clear plan, and a method that I could trust would be good for my baby too, I finally felt confident in what I was doing.
There’s so much conflicting advice online, and all I wanted at that time was to know if I was doing the right thing.
Now that’s why I’m here, typing this for you. I have found the way to help your child change the way they fall asleep, with activities and sleep training methods that actually work without leaving them to cry alone.
You may feel that your child is a ‘bad sleeper’ and that nothing can change that.
That everyone else is just ‘getting on with it’, so you should too.
But the truth is, we have normalised exhaustion. It’s almost as if to be a good parent, you need to be tired. But life is demanding and if you have the opportunity to make this very important aspect of life better, then do it. It is a kindness to yourself, and to your family, to get the sleep you need.
And I’ll be with you the whole way, so you can feel yourself again.
My Fade & Settle method is a roadmap with a clear plan.
First we change how they fall asleep by fading out whatever their dependency is.
Then we use approaches and activities that focus on learning the magic skill of self-settling.
I understand that life is complex. We have work, social events, grandparents and childcare to think about. A little one that self-settles can change your life. You can say yes to the night out. Not worry about them settling for others. You can have the longest stretch of sleep since they were born. And you can do it all in a way you can feel good about.
